Maja Frydén, soprano, is educated at the University of Opera in Stockholm and is a Jugendlich Dramatisch Soprano. In the spring of 2022 and 2023, Maja did a one-woman show called Dying Young at Folkoperan in Stockholm, a production that was also recorded for Swedish Television. In November 2023, Maja joins and premieres the innovative production Tosbot as the soprano soloist, a multi-art work composed by an AI, trained by the artist duo Saloranta & de Vylder at Elverket in Stockholm. Maja received the Richard Wagner Society's Bayreuth scholarship in 2020 and performed Eurydice in Vattnäs Konsertladas' production of Orpheus and Eurydike with great acclaim in the summer of 2024.
In the summer of 2022, Maja performed Erste Dame Vattnäs Konsertladas' production of Die Zauberflöte. She has participated in four productions at the Royal Opera Stockholm/Unga på Operan, as Donna Elvira in My Brother is Don Juan, the Doctor in My Mother is a Dragon, soprano soloist in Myriads of Worlds, a performance that has toured to Norway, Hong Kong International Arts Festival and Malmö Opera, and in 2023 she participated in the acclaimed production Flyg var du vill by Charlotte Engelkes. In the summer of 2019, Maja was praised by the national and international press for her Freja in Das Rheingold in Vattnäs Konsertladas production.
