Göran Eliasson - Tenor

Göran Eliasson runs and owns Vattnäs Concert Barn together with Court singer Anna Larsson, where opera has been given in chamber format under the title Sångfest, but also recitals and chamber music concerts during a couple of summer weeks in July every year. Productions made with great success, both publicly and in media, are Britten's “The Rape of Lucretia” and “King of Fools” by Carl Unander Scharin, also our comissioned operas Mats Larsson Gothe's “Silver Bird, an opera about Jussi Björling”, “an operatic show about Coco Chanel”and “War of Love”by Paula Malmborg Ward. In the summer of 2018, Albert Schnelzer's first opera was comissioned by Vattnäs Concert Barn, called“Att dö på sin post”about the hostage drama at Norrmalmstorg that gave us the concept The Stockholm Syndrome and it became a big success. In summer 2019 we staged Wagner´s Das Rheingold with 13 singers, 33 musicians and 11 dancers and it was the biggest success so far in Vattnäs.

Is artistic leader, project manager and owner together with Anna Larsson in production company Fal Parsi Produktion AB, and created for Dalhalla Opera three full schale productions, Rhenguldet, Turandot and Carmen. The result became a big audience and medial success and saved Dalhalla Opera. The couple left the assignment after Carmen 2016. The company has also produced productions at Artipelag in Stockholm and at Västmanland's Theater.

Appointed as an Artistic Advisor to Opera Houses and Concert Halls as well as artists who need guidance as well as a singing coach.

Started its agency Eliasson Artists AB 2008, which became one of Scandinavia's largest singer agencies. Now in 2019 it will be a new beginning for Eliasson Artists.

To the roles Göran appeared is Loge in Wagner's Das Rheingold, Cassio in Verdis Otello, Dancaïre in Bizets Carmen, Albert Gregor in Janáčeks Makropoulos, Jaquino in Beethoven's Fidelio, Tamino in Mozart's Magic Flute, Alva in Alban Bergs Lulu and Don Ottavio in Mozart's Don Giovanni and Andrej Chovanskij in Chovantchina of Mussorgsky as Eliasson performed at the opera in Frankfurt. Göran Eliasson has performed at the Royal Opera in Stockholm, the Aix-en-Provence festival, the opera in Cologne, the Gothenburg Opera, Malmö Opera, Drottningholms Slottsteater, Dalhalla Opera, Folkoperan and the Norrland Opera. To the conductors he performed with Simon Rattle, Kirill Petrenko, Antonio Pappano, Adam Fischer and Vladimir Jurowski. Göran has appeared in the Royal Theater in Stockholm in 2016-17 as Pang in Turandot and the Dance Champion of Manon Lescaut, as well as inhabitant of the Gothenburg Opera as Dancairo in Carmen. Göran has participated in recordings of several CDs, including music by Schnittke, Mozart and Wagner. Göran released his first solo disc "Retrospettivamente" in 2017, which is a kind of retrospective of songs that meant and stuck in memory over the years as an artist.

In 2019-20 he appeared at The Royal Opera in Stockholm as Monostatos in Die Zauberflöte and as the Monkey/Father in När då då. In season 2020-21 he will participate as Spoletta in Tosca, 2nd Jew in Salome and as Ulrich Eislinger in Die Meistersinger at The Royal Opera in Stockholm.
